About GOSHEN EYE CARE CENTER

The center's promoters are children of the region who have a deep commitment to their area and an unconditional love for their community.

Beforehand, they conducted an assessment of the issues hindering the development and for betterment of the population. Noticing the severe lack of nearby services, they decided to offer accessible healthcare to the community.

In this context, the center was established to provide access to eye care. The center was aimed at reducing both the effort and costs for patients, as similar care facilities were located much farther away. Patients had to budget for transportation costs in addition to consultation fees and the purchase of glasses.

The initiative was praised and warmly welcomed by the population of Songa commune and its surroundings. Since the center started its activities, the results on the ground have been remarkable. The community reports that the center has significantly eased their burden, and this is true. Due to the low purchasing power of the population, the center offers free consultations, giving patients the opportunity to afford the prescribed medications and/or glasses.
